On April 21, 2025, Harshbarger took to social media to express her condolences regarding the death of Pope Francis. She shared, “This morning, I join millions around the world in mourning the passing of Pope Francis. His faith in God and lifelong service to the Church touched countless lives. May he rest in eternal peace.”
Additionally, on the same day, Harshbarger criticized the decision by some House Democrats to travel abroad. She posted, “This week, instead of spending time in their districts with their constituents, House Democrats are traveling to El Salvador to advocate for the return of an illegal criminal alien.”
