Rep. Diana Harshbarger, U.S. Congresswoman representing Tennessee’s 1st district since 2021, posted a series of updates on social media regarding energy policy, disaster response legislation, and educational opportunities for students in her district.
On September 4, 2025, Harshbarger wrote, “We are unleashing American energy!”.
Later that day, she highlighted legislative progress with the FEMA Act: “Great news! The FEMA Act streamlines the government’s disaster response & recovery programs, rewards community preparedness like Tennessee’s self-retention fund, protects taxpayers, cuts red tape, and ensures that relief efforts are free from political bias.”
On September 5, 2025, Harshbarger announced an event for local students: “Excited to announce our 5th annual Academy Day for students and their families in Tennessee’s First Congressional District who are interested in learning about the educational opportunities available at our United States Service Academies. Representatives from all five academies”.
