These tweets express her stance on the deportation of a Hamas sympathizer, U.S.-China pharmaceutical relations, and legislative initiatives aimed at reducing foreign reliance. Harshbarger, who replaced Phil Roe and is originally from Kingsport, Tennessee, has been an outspoken advocate on these issues.
On April 11, 2025, Harshbarger commented on a legal ruling, stating “The courts have ruled that the Trump Administration may proceed with the deportation of Hamas terrorist sympathizer Mahmoud Khali. That’s what I call a good start to the weekend.”
Later that day, Harshbarger addressed economic relations with China. She remarked, “President Trump is doing the right thing by putting pressure on China. I’ve been speaking out about China’s overregulation of our pharmaceuticals for over 25 years. It’s devastating to think that China controls 90% of this market. We’ve got to rein them in.”
Harshbarger also discussed her legislative priorities, mentioning new proposed laws. On the same day, she tweeted “I’ve introduced legislation to reduce our reliance on China for pharmaceuticals and to strengthen partnerships with our longstanding allies. We must get the United States–Abraham Accords Cooperation and Security Act passed into law and break free from the chokehold China has.”
