Rep. Diana Harshbarger, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman for Tennessee’s 1st District, recently utilized her social media platform to express her views on legislative and administrative actions. Harshbarger, who succeeded Phil Roe in 2021, shared her stance on various issues through a series of tweets.

On April 10, 2025, Harshbarger communicated her support for the SAVE Act, stating, “Today we’re voting on the SAVE Act. You can bet I’ll be voting YES.” This statement signals her readiness to endorse the act in upcoming legislative discussions.

In another tweet dated April 11, 2025, Harshbarger criticized the Biden Administration’s approach, noting, “The Biden Administration weaponized the CDC and NIH to infringe on your gun rights. I led a letter to Secretary Kennedy, along with 14 of my colleagues, to shed light on this gross overreach.” Her comments reflect concerns regarding the perceived overreach of government agencies in relation to gun rights.

Continuing the theme of opposition to expansive governmental power, Harshbarger affirmed on the same day, “I will always fight against government overreach and defend our constitutional rights.” This assertion underscores her commitment to safeguarding constitutional liberties.

Diana Harshbarger has been an active representative of Tennessee’s 1st District since her election to Congress in 2021. Born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, she received her Bachelor of Science degree from East Tennessee State University. Harshbarger, now 63, continues to be a prominent figure in her hometown.
