Rep. Diana Harshbarger, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 1st district, has been active on social media, expressing her views on various political issues and individuals. Harshbarger, who assumed office in 2021 following Phil Roe, was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, in 1960 and graduated from East Tennessee State University.

On April 3, 2025, Rep. Harshbarger emphasized the importance of ensuring voting rights are reserved for American citizens. She stated, “This isn’t rocket science. If you’re not an American citizen and can’t prove otherwise, guess what? You don’t get to vote.” Her remarks were tied to her support for the SAVE Act, a legislation aimed at ensuring that only American citizens participate in elections.

Later that day, Harshbarger criticized political figures she believes incite unrest. Addressing her audience, she stated, “It all starts at the top—look no further than Jasmine Crockett, who consistently calls for violence. The left has become not just delusional, but also dangerous.” This post was her critique of ongoing political rhetoric.

Additionally, Harshbarger shared a tweet conveying a brief, open message: “Some hot takes for y’all.” The brief nature of the tweet left its interpretation to her audience.
