Rep. Diana Harshbarger, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 1st district, has recently shared her views on several issues through a series of tweets. The congresswoman, who succeeded Phil Roe in 2021 and resides in Kingsport, Tennessee, addressed topics ranging from immigration policies to gender participation in sports.
On May 16, 2025, Rep. Harshbarger emphasized the importance of solidifying former President Trump’s executive orders into law by stating that he “fought for us with executive orders that secured the border, cut red tape, and put America First.” She urged Congress to take action by saying “Congress has got to get to work!”
Later that day, she reiterated her stance on gender participation in sports with a tweet declaring: “REMINDER: If you’re a biological male, you have no place in girls’ sports or spaces.”
The following day, on May 17, 2025, Rep. Harshbarger commented on immigration policy under President Trump’s administration. She noted that “illegal immigration has reached historic lows thanks to President Trump securing our border,” adding that it has made the country safer. She questioned why Democrats appear more focused on protecting illegal aliens than American citizens by asking “So why are Democrats more focused on protecting illegal aliens than American citizens?”
Diana Harshbarger was born in Kingsport, Tennessee in 1960 and graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
