On June 6, 2025, Harshbarger extended birthday wishes to her colleague Marsha Blackburn through a tweet: “Please join me in wishing @MarshaBlackburn a very happy birthday!!”
Three days later, on June 9, she promoted an initiative aimed at encouraging literacy among children. In her tweet, she announced: “The @SecondLady’s Summer Reading Challenge is LIVE! Diana Harshbarger was born in Kingsport, Tennessee in 1960 and still resides there. She graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
