Rhodes College recently paid tribute to staff at its annual Staff Recognition Brunch, and four Rhodes employees received the college’s 2022 Outstanding Staff Awards based on nominations submitted by faculty, staff, and students. These awards recognize employees who continually strive for excellence, keeping the mission of the college in focus.
The Outstanding Administrative Services Staff Award was presented to Sherry Sasson, sergeant in campus safety, and the Outstanding Administrative Staff Award was presented to Jennifer J.B. Bone, athletic administrative coordinator in athletics.
Outstanding Administrator Awards were presented to Tina NeSmith, payroll manager in the finance office, and Martha McGeachy, benefits services manager in human resources.
This year’s Staff Recognition Brunch on May 19 was the first one in person since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the Campus Life Awards ceremony hosted by the Rhodes Student Government in April, two Rhodes staff were honored by students. Robert Randolph was recognized as the Loretta Watkins Outstanding Housekeeper and Fred Garrett was recognized as Outstanding Campus Safety Officer.
