Director of Golf Travis Muncy and the Lincoln Memorial men's and women's golf teams have announced their Spring 2023 schedules.
Men
The Railsplitters begin the new year's competition with the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate from Feb. 12-14 at St. Johns Golf Club in Elkton, Fla. Lincoln Memorial will serve as the tournament host.
Three tournaments are on tap for the Railsplitters in March, the first of which being the Las Vegas Desert Classic at Boulder Creek from March 4-7 in Boulder City, Nev. The men follow that up the next week with the Southeastern Collegiate hosted by Valdosta State on March 12-14 at Kinderlou Forest in Valdosta, Ga. The third month on the 2023 calendar wraps up with the Tennessee River Rumble at Wind River Golf Club in Lenoir City, Tenn. (March 26-28), where Lincoln Memorial will host its second tournament of the spring.
April begins with the Argonaut Invitational at the Pensacola Golf Club in Florida from the 2nd to the 4th. That will serve as the final tuneup before the South Atlantic Championship scheduled for April 15-18 at Lake Hickory Country Club in Hickory, N.C.
The Lincoln Memorial men are ranked No. 22 in Division II in the latest Golfstat rankings (Nov. 15) after winning one tournament in Fall 2022 (Irish Creek Invitational). Senior Harry Lord is the top ranked individual Railsplitter at 74th.
Women
The Lady Railsplitters also begin their 2023 competition at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate in Florida from Feb. 12-14. Their tournament will be at the Golf Club at South Hampton in St. Augustine. The Battle at Hilton Head hosted by Barton College and Lincoln Memorial is scheduled for the next week (Feb. 19-21) at Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head, S.C.
Another back-to-back weeks of tournaments are scheduled for March 12-14 at the Converse Spring Invite and March 19-21 at the Ralph Hargett Invitational. The Converse event will be hosted at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C., while the latter tournament hosted by Wingate will by played at Stonebridge / Rolling Hills in Monroe, N.C.
The 2023 SAC Championship will be played at Cobb's Glen Country Club in Anderson, S.C. from April 2-5.
Graduate Student Caitlyn Lindell ranks No. 144 in Division II individually according to Golfstat.
