Freshman outside hitter Maggie Sanderson has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
The Maryville, Tenn., native posted 41 kills on an efficient .320 hitting percentage across four matches last week. Sanderson had double-digit point totals in each match on her way to 43.5 points (3.11/set) overall.
Sanderson's best match was Friday night against Georgia College & State University in the SAC / Peach Belt Conference Challenge, when she posted 11 kills on a .429 attack percentage while adding seven digs and a block.
This is the women's volleyball team's first weekly conference honor of the season.
The Railsplitters host Tusculum at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Limestone at 2 p.m. on Saturday for the final two home matches of the season.
