On April 2, 2025, Harshbarger shared condolences for the death of Jim Ayers, a person influential in Tennessee. She highlighted his impact on the community and asked for prayers for his family, writing, "I’m sad to hear of the passing of Jim Ayers, who had a profound impact on Tennessee, especially for young people.
