Diana Harshbarger's recent tweets address FEMA webinar and crime concerns

Rep. Diana Harshbarger, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 1st district since 2021, shared several tweets recently addressing various issues of public interest.

On December 8, 2024, Rep. Harshbarger announced an upcoming webinar hosted by FEMA on December 10th. The webinar will focus on "how communities can use and benefit from public assistance through their cost-sharing assistance program." The following day, December 9, 2024, she tweeted about the presence of Venezuelan gangs in Tennessee's major cities. According to her post, "on day one of the Trump administration," there is a need for Tennessee officials to support efforts led by Tom Homan to deport these criminals and ensure community safety. "According to the TBI, Venezuelan gangs are now operating in every major city in Tennessee..."

Later that same day, Rep. Harshbarger expressed her opinion regarding Daniel Penny's legal situation. She argued that Penny should not have been charged initially and criticized what she perceives as a decline in the right of self-defense due to actions by "the Left." She emphasized that Americans should not be subjected to threats from criminals and strangers. "Daniel Penny should have never been charged in the first place..."
