Diana Harshbarger's recent tweets emphasize support for Trump and criticism of PBMs

Rep. Diana Harshbarger, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 1st district, has been vocal on social media about her political stance and legislative priorities. Through a series of tweets, she has expressed support for former President Trump and addressed issues related to pharmaceutical pricing and international trade.

On January 30, 2025, Rep. Harshbarger shared her confidence in President Trump's leadership by stating: "This shouldn’t be controversial. And it won’t be under President Trump’s leadership."

The following day, January 31, 2025, she criticized Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), comparing them to cartels within the pharmaceutical industry. She stated: "PBM’s are the cartels of the pharmaceutical world. They’re responsible for lifesaving drugs being marked up in some cases by 1,000 percent, and I won’t stop fighting until they’re reined in."

On February 1, 2025, Rep. Harshbarger addressed international trade tariffs imposed by President Trump on Mexico, China, and Canada as measures against the influx of fentanyl into the United States. She remarked: "Crucial times like these call for strong responses. President Trump's tariffs against Mexico, China, and Canada are a small price for these countries to pay, considering the role they’ve played in fentanyl pouring into our country, taking the lives of countless Americans.…"
