Diana Harshbarger, a U.S. Congress representative for Tennessee's 1st district since 2021, has been vocal on various issues through her social media platform. Born in Kingsport, Tennessee, and an alumna of East Tennessee State University, Harshbarger succeeded Phil Roe in representing her district.
On February 1, 2025, Harshbarger addressed international concerns regarding drug cartels and terrorism. She stated that "Mexico is home to the largest, most dangerous drug cartels in the world. Canada has become a highway for terrorists to enter our country. And China is a massive supplier of fentanyl." She further criticized these countries for not doing enough to combat these issues affecting Americans daily.
Two days later, on February 3, 2025, Harshbarger expressed support for former President Trump by asserting that "President Trump’s strong leadership puts America more and more on top every single day."
Later that same day, she posted a succinct message: "Boom."
