On February 5, 2025, Rep. Harshbarger expressed support for former President Trump’s efforts in Gaza. She stated: "This is what the leader of the free world looks like, folks. Harshbarger discussed energy security's importance as part of national security strategy: "WATCH: Today, I had the chance to help set the record straight for some of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle. Energy security IS national security, and it’s essential that we have new oil expansions." This statement reflects her advocacy for expanding oil production as a means to ensure national security.
