On June 30th, 2022, Detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service Smoky Mountains Fugitive Task Force arrested Scott Richard Holloway (54) of Speedwell Tennessee. Scott Richard Holloway was a wanted fugitive from Howell, Michigan for Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree Victim less than 13 (4 Counts). Once Scott Richard Holloway was arrested Detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant on the residence and recovered three firearms, several thousand rounds of ammunition and a quantity of Methamphetamine. Scott Richard Holloway is a convicted felon from the State of Michigan. The Claiborne County Sheriff's Office currently has two Detectives attached to the United States Marshals Service and they serve as sworn Special Deputy United States Marshals for the Eastern District of Tennessee United States Marshals Office Smoky Mountains Fugitive Task Force. The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office affiliation with the United States Marshals Office allows the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office access to resources to locate and apprehend fugitives from Claiborne County and fugitives who come to the area to avoid prosecution from other jurisdictions.
