The Grainger County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for correctional officers within the department. To be considered for a position, applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or GED. An applicant's criminal record must be free of felony convictions, be able to pass a psychological exam and drug test. Salary ranges from $34,000 to $37,000 yearly. Benefits include paid holidays, sick leave, annual leave, TCRS retirement, 401K, FREE employee basic medical insurance, family insurance available, short term and long term disability, dental and vision insurance, and uniforms provided. Training will be provided. Work schedule is a 4 on 4 off 12 hour shift. Applications can be picked up at the Sheriff’s Office weekdays between 8:30am and 4:30 pm.
