Rep. Diana Harshbarger, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 1st District, shared a series of tweets on December 2, 2024, addressing both local community engagement and national political issues.

In an invitation to her constituents, Harshbarger announced "East Tennesee’s 1st District is invited to join me for ‘Coffee with your Congresswoman’ this afternoon!" The event was scheduled from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Hawkins County American Legion in Rogersville, Tennessee.

Later that day, she expressed her views on Hunter Biden's recent pardon by stating "Hunter Biden’s pardon spans over a decade and covers crimes we don't even know he may have committed while sitting on the board of Burisma." She criticized the move as an attempt by what she referred to as the "Biden Crime Family" to conceal information regarding Hunter Biden's alleged influence-peddling activities.

On the same day, Rep. Harshbarger commented on findings from the COVIDSelect Committee. She tweeted "The @COVIDSelect Committee confirmed in their final report today that the most likely origin of the COVID-19 pandemic was a lab leak from gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China." She further noted Dr. Fauci's attempts to downplay accountability related to NIH funding and oversight.
