On December 5, 2024, Rep. Harshbarger expressed her concerns regarding children's ability to make irreversible decisions about their bodies. She stated, "As a nation founded on principles of justice, we have an obligation to protect our children. There is nothing more sinister than allowing and encouraging children to make life-altering irreversible decisions about their body when they cannot possibly understand the consequences."

Later that day, she outlined her priorities for the first 100 days of the 119th Congress in another tweet. Her agenda includes securing borders, unleashing American energy, and reducing bureaucracy. On December 6, Rep. Harshbarger attended a significant event related to education in Carter County. She tweeted about participating in the groundbreaking ceremony for a new higher education center in partnership with Northeast State and TCAT Elizabethton. Her tweet highlighted this collaboration as an investment in local education: "Today my team had the privilege of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Northeast State and TCAT Elizabethton, Carter County Higher Education Center."
